Facilities Manager

The ideal Facilities Manager will provide effective leadership to the Facilities Team by taking responsibility for strategy, staff management, and business relationships, financial and project management. One who can insure outstanding customer service and is able to manage staff and demanding situations, can uphold corporate policies, has initiative and determination, follows through with assignments and is able to perform multiple assignments simultaneously.


Reports to and assists Senior Manager of Real Estate and Facilities.


Responsibilities:



  • Plan and coordinate all installations ( HVAC, plumbing, electricity etc.) and minor refurbishments

  • Basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing knowledge

  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards

  • Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations

  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs

  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors

  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.

  • Handle and monitor service contracts and regular PM schedules

  • Handle and organize practice moves.

  • Monitor all work orders daily.

  • Monitor email and company supplied phone 24/7 for emergencies.

  • Point of contact for fire/ burglar alarms

  • Keep financial and non-financial records

  • Perform analysis and forecasting

  • Perform payroll functions

  • Occasional evenings and/or weekends


Requirements:



  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position

  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Good analytical/critical thinking

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
